Mr. Derrick A. Parks
A resident since 1974, Derrick A. Parks was raised in Prince Georges County. Mr. Parks was educated in the Prince Georges County school system. He has established a successful protective security firm in Prince Georges County, which has been in business for over ten (10) years. As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of this firm, he has acquired multi-million dollar contracts throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Including contracts with the State of Maryland, Federal and local government agencies as well as commercial and private companies.
Mr. Parks is a gifted executive manager and proven leader, that is committed to serving his community. Mr. Parks is exceptionally well qualified in the areas of public safety and criminal justice. He currently serves as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Fairmount Heights, Maryland. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Prince Georges Community College’s Public Safety Commission and teaches at the Criminal Justice Institute.
